The Handwriting Rules! series for Years K4 has been updated to support the latest version of the NSW English Syllabus. The handwriting style featured in the series matches letter formations taught in New South Wales, but terminology has been aligned to the updated syllabus and grammar terminology and connections have been strengthened. The series also features an enhanced focus on First Nations Australian cultures and histories through the use of words from First Nations Australian languages, and native Australian flora and fauna. The focus of the series is to engage students with fun handwriting exercises, with the goal of making handwriting automatic in order to free the mind for more creative tasks and to support spelling development. Letter formation is introduced in a logical sequence and Student Book 2 introduces letter entries and exits, to prepare students for joining letters in Student Book 3 and Student Book 4.
